Job summary

North Italia in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a Sous Chef to lead a high-volume kitchen with a scratch-made approach. You will report to the Executive Chef and guide a culinary team toward quality, flavor, and hospitality aligned with our mission: Great Hospitality, Every Time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of high-volume culinary management experience.
• Understanding of business operations and financials.
• Experience with POS systems and inventory control; POSitouch and Crunchtime a plus.
• Able to work 10+ hour shifts and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work closing shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform overhead tasks.
• Dexterity for kitchen equipment and knives.
• Able to work in high-temperature, smoky, confined spaces.
• Observe and assess product quality, taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage shifts including scheduling and planning.
• Demonstrate ingredient knowledge and culinary trends.
• Help restaurant reach financial goals by controlling costs.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment care.
