The role focuses on minimizing total cost of ownership, reducing commercial risk for resale and raw materials, and handling contract negotiations. Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Sourcing Manager to develop, optimize and implement sourcing strategies for regional Base Chemicals Direct Material categories that minimizes the total cost of ownership as well as commercial risk for resale and raw materials. This role is also responsible for contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and will work driving down variable costs and assuring cost-competitive sustainable supply to our customers and plants.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Experience in negotiating and managing large spend categories such as Chlorine, HCL, Caustic Soda, Sulfuric Acid, ATH, Iron Ore and etc.

• Lead the Base Chemical Direct Materials Team, position will be responsible for $150M of spend.
• Develop and implement innovative approaches to sourcing arrangements that minimize Total Cost of Ownership and commercial risk to support business competitiveness and sustainability goals.
• Lead supplier selection decision and contract negotiations for new suppliers, give support in make-or-buy decisions.

Undertake supplier mapping and build sourcing fact base of key suppliers within the category portfolio, to help develop effective supplier relationships.

Requirements

• Four-year Bachelor's Degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or other science related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Base Commodity Chemicals, commercial, or technical areas
• Leadership skills to effectively manage people, sourcing categories and cross-functional teams
• Proven track record in delivering year over year cost savings
