Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Site Sourcing Lead to build a nationwide pipeline of data center opportunities, evaluating projects from early diligence to construction readiness. You will lead commercial talks with utilities, owners, and developers, and develop power strategies to optimize economics, risk, and schedule.

You will coordinate with engineering, construction, and executive teams to validate feasibility and drive multiple projects forward across diverse U.S. markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience sourcing and developing data center sites or power-intensive infrastructure.
• Expertise with behind-the-meter generation and utility grid interconnection.
• Established relationships across U.S. power markets, utilities, landowners, brokers and developers.
• Direct procurement relationships with power-generation OEMs and electrical equipment suppliers.
• Proven ability to structure, diligence, negotiate, and close high-value energy and real estate deals.
• Strong knowledge of site control, permitting, zoning, environmental diligence, and risk.
• Strong commercial judgment for land, energy, and infrastructure transactions.
• Ability to drive opportunities forward independently while coordinating with engineering and exec stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel nationally for diligence, negotiations, and project advancement.

Responsibilities

• Build a nationwide pipeline of development opportunities by identifying viable land and power for large-scale computing facilities.
• Evaluate projects from opportunity to investment readiness, considering capacity, constraints, zoning, permits, and environmental factors.
• Develop power strategies including utility interconnection and behind-the-meter generation for cost and schedule efficiency.
• Lead commercial discussions with utilities, landowners, brokers, developers, energy providers and other counterparties.
• Negotiate land purchases, leases, and energy arrangements to position projects for development.
• Navigate utility processes and local approvals with municipalities and authorities.
• Leverage supplier relationships to source generation systems and critical electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate external development, civil, energy, and equipment partners while managing schedule and diligence.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction leadership to validate technical feasibility before major commitments.
• Advance multiple projects concurrently and establish repeatable development practices.
