Mercy is seeking a Senior Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and related software, serving as a lead when supervision is unavailable. You will ensure imaging quality and patient safety while supporting training for staff.

Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential as you contribute to accurate diagnoses and high-quality care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Sonography with required clinical hours.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Licensure as required by state; ARDMS/ARRT/CCI with 4 registries or 2 registries + 7 years experience; BLS.
• Arkansas-specific: ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS or ARRT-VS within 12 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead imaging team when direct leadership is unavailable.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and related software.
• Ensure patient safety and imaging quality standards.
• Train staff and serve as a resource for others.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
