Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Associate Sonographer to operate ultrasound imaging equipment and related software to support diagnosis and treatment. You will ensure patient safety, maintain high-quality imaging standards, and collaborate with patients and clinicians to deliver optimal care.

The role emphasizes technical proficiency, commitment to patient care, and communication within a multidisciplinary team to advance healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours or registered sonographer.
• State licensure may be required depending on the state of practice.
• ARDMS/ARRT/CCI registry or registry eligible (within 6 months of eligibility).
• ARRT-VS/ARDMS-RVT/CCI-RVS registration required within 12 months of hire or transfer where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and software, primarily ultrasound devices, to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure patient safety while performing imaging studies.
• Maintain high-quality imaging standards and image documentation.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
