About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent are key in the sales process, from early evaluation to ongoing customer value realization. They partner with Account Executives to serve as technical advisors, identifying customer needs and designing solutions. They facilitate discussions on new patterns, overcome technical challenges, and promote customer success and adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do

• Advance innovative Data Streaming use cases from conception to go-live
• Lead Technical Proofs of Concept
• Conduct discovery and whiteboarding sessions for new use cases
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to demonstrate thought leadership
• Assist customers with hands-on support and best practices to improve operational maturity
• Analyze customer data to identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams, advocating for customers
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as a dependable partner

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
• Knowledge of Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration, Processing Techniques, Databases, and Data Warehousing
• Experience with Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment, and Application Development
• Skills in Automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
• Relevant technical certifications (Cloud Developer/Architect, Data Engineering & Integration)
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of solving complex technical problems
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, confident engaging with diverse audiences including developers, architects, and C-level executives
