About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent play a vital role in both early-stage evaluations and ongoing customer value realization. They partner with Account Executives to serve as technical advisors, identify customer needs, and design solutions to meet those needs. They facilitate discussions on innovative data streaming use cases, overcome technical challenges, and foster customer success and adoption of Confluent’s technology.

What You Will Do

• Advance new data streaming use cases from conception to deployment
• Lead technical proofs of concept
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to develop use cases
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to demonstrate thought leadership
• Assist customers with hands-on support and best practices to mature their Confluent deployment
• Analyze customer data to identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams and advocate for customers
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and be a reliable partner

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, data integration, processing techniques, databases, and data warehouses
• Experience with cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and application development
• Skills in automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
• Relevant technical certifications (Cloud Developer/Architect, Data Engineering & Integration)
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and solve complex technical problems
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortable presenting to technical and executive audiences
