Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer to deliver end-to-end solutions for customer orders by engineering wavelength and Ethernet capacity to meet technical and service requirements. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill requests drawn from customer demand, while working remotely within the United States.

The role requires detailed solutioning for Wavelength and Ethernet orders, project triggering with practical methods, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Ciena 6500 DWDM system.
• SQL experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed and complex solutioning for Wavelength and Ethernet orders.
• Triggers projects using the most feasible, practical and economical means.
• Performs engineering work and applied R&D and design of new projects including design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of equipment.
• Mentors or provides work leadership for lower level employees.
• Resolves interoperability problems to enable operation across platforms.
