Job summary

Block is building the next generation of commerce experiences for merchants and PSPs through Afterpay, Cash App Pay, Clearpay, and Cash App Afterpay. The Solutions Engineering team will drive complex partner integrations, working with BD, sales, and product to understand customer needs, showcase APIs, and accelerate adoption.

You will translate business requirements into scalable integration approaches, lead Java or other full-stack efforts, and guide developers through challenging

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles with enterprise merchants or global partners.
• Hands-on APIs, debugging integrations, and guiding developers through complex implementations.
• Experience with full-stack development and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Led technical projects end-to-end in globally distributed, multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel for onsite client meetings (10-20%).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales & Account Management to support sellers integrating with the platform.
• Design and deliver technical solutions, including proofs-of-concept and sample integrations.
• Be a trusted technical advisor translating business needs into scalable integration approaches.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to surface partner feedback and influence roadmap.
• Create demos, presentations, and technical deep dives for executives and engineering.
• Communicate product features and guidance across audiences.
