MetLife’s Retirement & Income Solutions team seeks a Senior Consultant, Business Solution Design & Optimization to evaluate and redesign processes, applying an experimentation-based approach to quantify value and deliver scalable improvements. You will collaborate across operations, technology, finance, and risk to drive customer, employee, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree plus 4+ years across multiple disciplines (design, business, etc.).
• Strong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams (business, technology, operations).
• Experience developing process maps (value chain, journey maps, service blueprints) tied to business outcomes.
• Ability to scope, define and execute initiatives while balancing multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving; formulate and validate hypotheses from insights.
• Strategic mindset focused on value, cost/risk tradeoffs; break problems into actionable plans.
• Ability to apply AI in high-value scenarios to improve effectiveness while leveraging SME knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build deep RIS product and process expertise to guide improvements in processes and outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end strategic initiatives from problem definition to stakeholder alignment and decision support.
• Shape future-state solutions, operating models, and customer experiences via service blueprints, journeys, and analysis.
• Manage projects, deliverables, dependencies, and risks with cross-functional partnerships across operations, tech, finance, risk, and compliance.
• Champion customer-centric process, product, and solution design; measure and report initiative outcomes.
