Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Product Designer to partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Research to shape strategy and create a cohesive retirement experience across employer and employee journeys. You’ll operate as the design lead, co-owning priorities, success metrics and delivering end-to-end experiences.

We’re looking for a candidate with 8+ years of product design experience, strong craft in complex workflows, and demonstrable AI fluency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product design with end-to-end shipped work and impact.
• High craft across interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Experience in regulated/high-trust domains (fintech, taxes, insurance, retirement).
• Proven AI fluency in design practice with prototypes, testing, and shipping.
• Comfort moving between design and code and collaborating with engineers.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and turn inputs into clear goals.
• Strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Data to prioritize and iterate.
• Systems thinker who scales solutions across a product ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Vision & Partnership: define problems, strategy, and measurable outcomes.
• Data and research informed iteration: analyze funnel metrics and retention drivers.
• Design Leadership & Ownership: manage end-to-end design process from concept to MVP.
• Trust + compliance design: translate regulatory requirements into clear UX flows.
• Communication & Storytelling: align stakeholders with design rationale and tradeoffs.
• Elevating Craft & Mentorship: critique peers and raise the design bar with AI.
• System Advocacy & Evolution: contribute to and evolve the design system.
• AI-Accelerated Prototyping & Learning: build clickable prototypes with AI insights.
