Job summary

Axiom Path is seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture & Technical Leadership in Charlotte, NC to guide a global organization’s architecture efforts and AI-enabled initiatives. You will lead a team of Solution Architects and partner with software engineering, enterprise architecture, and business teams to align technical direction with business goals.

Qualifications

• Proven people-management experience leading technical professionals or software development teams.
• Previous software development or software engineering background is essential.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, software development, systems, and design.
• Solutions Architecture experience is strongly preferred; seasoned managers with architecture exposure may qualify.
• Ability to review technical proposals and ask meaningful architecture questions.
• Working knowledge of SQL and participation in architecture discussions.
• Coaching, resource-management, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Awareness of AI capabilities and their impact on software development and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects across multiple technology initiatives.
• Ensure projects receive architecture support and balance resources across priorities.
• Remove blockers that prevent architects and project teams from progressing.
• Review proposed solution approaches and challenge decisions when needed.
• Identify architectural concerns that require escalation or partnership with Enterprise Architecture.
• Foster a collaborative environment where architects share expertise and support one another.
• Maintain visibility into ongoing projects and communicate with technical leaders and stakeholders.
• Apply strong software engineering and systems-architecture understanding when evaluating direction.
