Job summary

World Bank Group is seeking an Associate Senior Solutions Architect to drive architecture, modernization, and AI-enabled development across IT platforms in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, cloud-native strategies, and delivery excellence to support global mission and operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, 8+ years of relevant experience, and certifications in enterprise architecture and cloud/DevOps.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 8+ years progressively responsible experience in solution architecture or related fields.
• Certifications in SAFe for Architects, AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI, DevOps Engineer or similar are preferred.
• Experience with solution architecture, application modernization and engineering enablement.
• Experience with cloud-native development, APIs, DevOps and SDLC/ADLC practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and developer productivity initiatives.
• Strong architecture, stakeholder management and technical leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrates urgency, change agency and business acumen in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and promote modern application architectures and reusable frameworks.
• Lead modernization efforts to improve delivery speed, maintainability, and scalability.
• Drive AI-enabled development and measure developer productivity outcomes.
• Promote modern QA, test automation, and continuous testing practices.
• Support adoption of DevOps, APIs, and low-code/no-code platforms across teams.
• Provide architecture guidance, mentoring, and lead design reviews and workshops.
