Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Performance Testing Engineer to design and execute comprehensive load and benchmark tests across UI, API, and backend layers. You will develop test plans, automate scripts, and use AI tools to accelerate test generation while diagnosing bottlenecks in Linux, networking hardware, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Solution Testing, or Test Automation.
• Proficiency in Python or Java with UI/API automation using Selenium, Playwright, PyTest, or REST Assured.
• Experience with networking technologies (BGP/OSPF/TCP/IP) and enterprise networking, cloud platforms, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Proven troubleshooters with strong leadership, collaboration across teams, and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, script, and run load, stress, endurance, and benchmarking tests across UI, API, and backend layers.
• Develop and maintain test plans and automation docs for reproducibility.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation and optimize scripts.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks across Linux servers, networking hardware, and AWS.
• Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines to provide actionable insights.
