Job summary

Cisco’s CX Platform team seeks a senior test engineer to design and run performance tests across UI, API, and backend services in cloud and on‑prem environments. You will craft robust test plans, automate workloads, and apply AI-assisted techniques to accelerate validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or master’s with 6+ years in relevant software/QA roles.
• Programming in Python or Java with UI/API automation using Selenium, Playwright, PyTest, or REST Assured.
• Experience with networking technologies (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, L2/L3).
• Experience in enterprise networking, cloud platforms, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and distributed systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, script, and execute load, stress, endurance, and benchmarking tests across UI, API, and backend layers.
• Develop and maintain test plans and automation documentation for reproducibility.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation and optimize scripts.
• Diagnose bottlenecks across Linux, networking hardware, and AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate automated tests into DevOps pipelines to establish performance guardrails.
