Position Summary

The Senior Solutions Architect designs resilient infrastructure, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for clients with mission-critical operations. This role leads technical discovery, assesses operational risks, develops solution architectures, and produces implementation plans and budgetary estimates. The architect will work across infrastructure, networking, cloud, storage, backup, replication, security, and high-availability technologies. For specialized environments—such as broadcast, live media, manufacturing, healthcare, or other critical operations—the architect will coordinate with qualified engineering partners and incorporate their recommendations into a comprehensive continuity solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with client stakeholders, engineers, operations teams, and business leaders.

• Develop high-availability, disaster recovery, replication, backup, and failover architectures.
• Design or coordinate diverse network, internet, WAN, carrier, and site-to-site connectivity solutions.
• Evaluate the suitability of existing or proposed secondary facilities for disaster recovery operations.
• Define automated and operator-assisted failover and failback procedures.
• Incorporate monitoring, alerting, security, access control, and operational management into solution designs.
• Distinguish traditional data recovery requirements from operational continuity requirements.
• Identify when specialized industry expertise is required and coordinate with qualified engineering partners.
• Develop solution options with clearly documented costs, benefits, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Create conceptual diagrams, bills of materials, implementation roadmaps, and budgetary pricing.
• Present technical recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Support sales and account teams during opportunity qualification, scoping, proposal development, and client presentations.
• Develop testing strategies, recovery exercises, documentation standards, and ongoing readiness programs.
• Maintain awareness of emerging resiliency, infrastructure, networking, cloud, and business continuity technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in infrastructure engineering, solution architecture, disaster recovery, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience designing resilient, highly available infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, compute, storage, virtualization, backup, replication, and cloud technologies.
• Experience developing disaster recovery and business continuity technical strategies.
• Working knowledge of recovery time objectives, recovery point objectives, availability requirements, and data-loss tolerances.
• Experience designing on-premises, cloud, or hybrid recovery solutions.
• Ability to identify dependencies and single points of failure across complex environments.
• Experience creating conceptual architectures, technical scopes, implementation plans, and budgetary estimates.
• Strong client-facing discovery, consulting, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate technical risks and recommendations clearly to business and executive stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating internal technical teams, external vendors, carriers, and specialized engineering partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mission-critical or continuous-operation environments.
• Knowledge of datacenter design, facility readiness, power, cooling, physical security, and environmental resiliency.
• Experience with diverse carrier connectivity, SD-WAN, private circuits, internet redundancy, and automated network failover.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity recovery, immutable backup, cyber vaulting, and ransomware-resilient architectures.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, VMware, Microsoft infrastructure, enterprise storage, and leading backup or replication platforms.
• Experience supporting specialized operational environments such as broadcast, live media, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, or public safety.
• Familiarity with real-time video, streaming, production, or broadcast technologies is beneficial but not required.
• Relevant certifications in cloud architecture, networking, business continuity, disaster recovery, or information security.
