Job summary

Job description

Define architectural vision and solution intent supporting strategic business product and service outcomes
Define target operating environments and design for client resiliency
Assist with solution design and define non-functional requirements
Work with stakeholders and service providers aligned to strategic objectives
Evaluate the impact of strategic design decisions and contribute to architecture roadmaps
Partner with engineering, operations, architecture, and application teams to deliver enterprise infrastructure services
Provide architectural guidance, technical oversight, and solution direction throughout infrastructure project lifecycles
Ensure technology solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, operational requirements, and long-term technology strategy
Develop scalable, supportable, and cost-effective technology solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments with cost-benefit analysis
Establish standards, drive consistency, and improve platform capabilities
Create architecture roadmaps across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains
Clarify architecture, assist with system design, and resolve architectural impediments
Facilitate solution discussions and lead complex architecture designs, experiments, and proofs of concept
Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices
Select technology stacks and preferred technology products
Perform design and code reviews for security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability
Provide end-to-end technical leadership for complex initiatives
Identify and mitigate risks, resolve architectural challenges, and accelerate delivery outcomes
Serve as a senior escalation point for critical production and implementation issues

Requirements

10+ years experience providing end-to-end architecture, design guidance, and governance for large-scale strategic initiatives
Proven ability to lead teams through complex technical challenges
Ability to translate product roadmaps, business goals, and technology strategies into architectural solutions and delivery plans
Experience managing staffing, financial planning, vendor engagement, risk management, compliance, and governance processes
Experience leading infrastructure production support organizations
10+ years experience designing, deploying, and managing resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure platforms
Expertise in highly available network solutions leveraging load balancing, failover mechanisms, and enterprise firewall technologies
Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, MongoDB, CockroachDB, and PostgreSQL
Experience with middleware and integration platforms, including Apache, JBoss, MuleSoft, Kafka, Liberty, and WebLogic
Understanding of enterprise data networking, connectivity, and distributed systems architecture
Experience leading large-scale enterprise technology initiatives in architecture, engineering, development, and deployment leadership roles
Experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code practices, including Terraform-based automation and provisioning
Advanced experience creating architectural diagrams, solution designs, and technical documentation using Microsoft Visio
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
