The Senior Solution Architect - ServiceNow is responsible for providing coaching and thought leadership to both our client and internal resources in platform design, integration design, development standards, platform management methods, and technology strategy consulting. A Senior Solution Architect has a high-level of understanding in scripting and app development, including familiarity with web services, APIs, and mobile application design.
- Lead and mentor other developers (business, information, application, software, technology) to ensure the highest standard of technical quality.
- Fulfills technical designing, crafting, documenting, and presenting the integration approach of all the components of the architecture.
- Research and analyze capabilities and propose solution alternatives that address specific business needs and product/service strategies across Business Lines.
- Educate clients and collaborate to identify the right technical solutions.
- Deliver a positive and beneficial experience to clients in every interaction.
- Assist in prioritizing and understanding new opportunities, designing tools and techniques to deliver efficiently.
- Ensure each artifact produced, each configured technical component, and all personal interactions are of the highest quality.
- Act as the final delivery point for technical decision-making within a program.
Team Building:
- Build teams capable of completing tasks.
- Provide technical coaching and oversight to other developers/architects.
- Define domain-specific evaluation processes for hiring that fit market needs.
- Conduct interviews to screen and identify the best candidates.
- Periodically evaluate team capabilities.
- Identify emerging skills needed by the team and training requirements.
- Align resource requirements based on demand projections.
- Record resource training and development plans in partnership with HR.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology is preferred, or other degrees with significant related IT and leadership experience.
- At least 4 years of experience working on the ServiceNow platform.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM (CIS-ITSM).
- Experience in two additional product lines outside of ITSM, such as Orchestration, Discovery, Project Portfolio, SecOps, Agent Intelligence, or other predictive models.
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in general consulting, service management, and software development.
- Over 4 years of experience with multiple platform configurations.
- At least 2 years of senior technical experience.
- Preferred experience includes ITSM, ITIL v3, and certifications such as Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary ranges from $145,000 to $165,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
