Job description

The Senior Solution Architect - ServiceNow is responsible for providing coaching and thought leadership to both our client and internal resources in platform design, integration design, development standards, platform management methods, and technology strategy consulting. A Senior Solution Architect has a high-level of understanding in scripting and app development, including familiarity with web services, APIs, and mobile application design.

1. Lead and mentor other developers (business, information, application, software, technology) to ensure the highest standard of technical quality.
2. Fulfills technical designing, crafting, documenting, and presenting the integration approach of all the components of the architecture.
3. Research and analyze capabilities and propose solution alternatives that address specific business needs and product/service strategies across Business Lines.
4. Educate clients and collaborate to identify the right technical solutions.
5. Deliver a positive and beneficial experience to clients in every interaction.
6. Assist in prioritizing and understanding new opportunities, designing tools and techniques to deliver efficiently.
7. Ensure each artifact produced, each configured technical component, and all personal interactions are of the highest quality.
8. Act as the final delivery point for technical decision-making within a program.

Team Building:

1. Build teams capable of completing tasks.
2. Provide technical coaching and oversight to other developers/architects.
3. Define domain-specific evaluation processes for hiring that fit market needs.
4. Conduct interviews to screen and identify the best candidates.
5. Periodically evaluate team capabilities.
6. Identify emerging skills needed by the team and training requirements.
7. Align resource requirements based on demand projections.
8. Record resource training and development plans in partnership with HR.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology is preferred, or other degrees with significant related IT and leadership experience.
2. At least 4 years of experience working on the ServiceNow platform.
3. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
4. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM (CIS-ITSM).
5. Experience in two additional product lines outside of ITSM, such as Orchestration, Discovery, Project Portfolio, SecOps, Agent Intelligence, or other predictive models.
6. Knowledge of ITIL v3 is required.
7. At least 5 years of experience in general consulting, service management, and software development.
8. Over 4 years of experience with multiple platform configurations.
9. At least 2 years of senior technical experience.
10. Preferred experience includes ITSM, ITIL v3, and certifications such as Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary ranges from $145,000 to $165,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
