Job summary

Openkrill seeks a Senior Solution Architect – SAP Business Data Cloud to shape a new SAP practice from the ground up. You will combine deep SAP knowledge with cloud architectures to steer complex data environments securely into the future, focusing on SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

You will lead go-to-market and pre-sales activities, design end-to-end data architectures, and guide migrations from BW/BW4HANA to a cloud-based BDC.

Qualifications

• Senior SAP Analytics and Data Warehousing expertise with data modelling and cloud architectures.
• Experience in SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and BW/4HANA.
• Familiarity with BW modernization and enterprise migrations; IAS/IPS knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to lead new portfolio development and workshop facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical and strategic development of the SAP Business Data Cloud practice.
• Design and implement end-to-end data architectures based on SAP BDC and SAP Datasphere.
• Lead go-to-market activities, discovery workshops, and pre-sales support.

You will take on significant responsibility from day one, with a clear progression path towards becoming a Principal or Practice Lead. You will combine deep SAP knowledge with cutting-edge cloud architectures, steering complex data environments securely into the future.

Your mission- Practice Building & Strategy: You will proactively drive the technical and strategic development of our SAP Business Data Cloud practice. Taking strong ownership, you will use your creative freedom to develop our service portfolio – with the long-term goal of growing into a Lead role.

• Go-to-Market & Pre-Sales: You will work closely with our sales team to refine our offering and conduct discovery workshops with clients. In doing so, you will provide valuable technical substance and support the go-to-market strategy with SAP as a partner.
• Strategic Consulting & Architecture Design: As an experienced consultant, you will design and implement modern end-to-end data architectures based on SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
• End-to-End Project Delivery: You will guide clients through the migration of legacy SAP BW/BW4HANA systems to a cloud-based BDC architecture. You will leverage your expertise in BW modernisation for complex migration and innovation projects.
• Hands-on Data Architecture & SAP Datasphere: Developing and modelling modern data landscapes, as well as implementing scalable data models in enterprise environments.
• Analytics & Reporting: You will create high-performance dashboards and KPI systems within the SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Complex Lifecycle & Migration Management: Successfully delivering demanding migration projects alongside continuous system optimisation.
• Seamless System Integration: Connecting SAP and non-SAP landscapes via the SAP Integration Suite and modern API management approaches.
• Enablement & Consulting: You will lead client workshops, build Proofs of Concept, and provide expert advice to stakeholders at the management level.

Your profile- Senior Expertise: Several years of professional experience in the SAP Analytics and Data Warehousing space, alongside deep expertise in data modelling, data integration, and cloud architectures.

• Consulting Experience: You have solid experience in SAP consulting, with a clear focus on SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and/or SAP BW/4HANA.
• Project Experience: You are familiar with BW modernisations and transition paths from your own project work, and you have experience in enterprise landscapes, including migrations. Ideally, you also bring knowledge of SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS).
• Pre-Sales Experience: You have initial or advanced experience in facilitating workshops, helping to shape proposals, and providing technical support for deals.
• Drive & Ambition: You are highly motivated to independently drive a new portfolio and standards forward, take on significant responsibility, and progress towards a Lead/Principal role.
• Tech Curiosity & Willingness to Learn: Since BDC products are still relatively new to the market, we don’t expect decades of experience. What matters is your initial exposure to the BDC and your drive to learn new specifics (such as Formations, Data Products, or SAP Databricks) with our support.
• You enjoy teamwork and actively sharing knowledge with others.
• A confident demeanour and business-fluent communication skills in both German and English.
