Job summary

Openkrill seeks a Solution Architect for Google Workspace to bridge IT requirements with innovative designs. You will design secure Google Workspace infrastructures and lead hands-on migrations, while advising IT departments as an equal partner and driving pre-sales activities.

The role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery, including owning on-call support and building robust system documentation for sustained operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing workplace solutions (Google Workspace or M365).
• Strong knowledge of Google Admin Console, Security & Compliance, and identity topics.
• Scripting skills and migration tool experience (CloudM, GAM).
• Ability to structure complex scenarios and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• High-level design and conceptual planning of secure Google Workspace infrastructures (Identity Management/SSO, role concepts, security policies, MDM).
• Hands-on delivery and migrations (e.g., from M365 to Google Workspace) within the Admin Console.
• Advise IT departments as an equal partner and deliver architecture and security workshops.
• Pre-sales involvement: analyze existing IT landscapes and develop future-proof solution architectures.
• Support and on-call duties with sustainability-focused documentation.

As a Solution Architect – Google Workspace (f/m/d), you will bridge the gap between IT requirements and innovative solution designs. As a digital native, you will take on end-to-end responsibility: advising client IT departments, designing bespoke architectures, explaining them clearly, and subsequently helping to build the systems yourself.

Your mission- Architecture & Design:

• You will be responsible for high-level design and the conceptual planning of secure Google Workspace infrastructures (Identity Management/SSO, role concepts, security policies, MDM).
• Hands-on Delivery & Migration: Thanks to your hands-on mentality, you don't stop at theory; you implement the designed architectures and migrations (e.g. from M365 to Google Workspace) directly within the Admin Console.
• Advisory & Workshops: You will advise IT departments as an equal partner, prepare demanding architecture and security workshops, and deliver them confidently as a tech advocate.
• Pre-Sales & Solutions: As a pre-sales driver, you will actively contribute during the pre-sales phase, analyse existing IT landscapes, and develop future-proof solution architectures.
• Support & On-Call: You will assist with escalated technical support issues, ensure smooth operations as part of our rotating on-call schedule, and produce sustainable system documentation.

Your profile-

• Experience: Several years of solid professional experience in designing and implementing workplace solutions (ideally Google Workspace or M365).
• Tech Know-how: As a tech enthusiast, you bring deep knowledge of the Google Admin Console, Security & Compliance (Vault, DLP), and identity topics. Scripting skills and experience with migration tools (CloudM, GAM, etc.) complete your profile.
• Architecture & Consulting Expertise: You have the ability to structure and analyse complex scenarios, communicate convincingly with clients, and design viable architectures.
• Execution & Delivery: Alongside your conceptual strengths, you stand out for your strong hands-on mentality – working independently and thriving on building systems operatively.
• Strong Communication: Business-fluent communication skills in either German or English.
