Job summary

Cummins in Columbus, IN is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead design of scalable, enterprise-grade architectures across systems and applications. You will define component structures, interfaces, and patterns to ensure consistent, reusable technology building blocks.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, evaluate technologies, and drive architectural standards and pilot programs to validate future capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of total professional experience in software development, application engineering, or related technical roles.
• Prior hands-on experience as a Software Developer and/or Technical Lead is required.
• Complex Application Solution Design utilizing technologies like Java/Angular/Kubernetes/.Net/PhP is needed
• Architecture development framework and methodology to design systems landscape and interactions within enterprise, utilizing Mulesoft, Azure APIM, Azure Data Factory, etc.
• Deep knowledge in DevSecOps areas of GitHub Actions, Copado, SonarQube and Veracode to suggest development teams better their code standards.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable system architectures by defining component structures, allocating functionality, and establishing interfaces between systems.
• Develop and recommend optimized technical solutions by evaluating design options and aligning outcomes with business and technology requirements.
• Champion enterprise architecture standards and ensure solutions leverage approved technology stacks and best practices.
• Create and maintain global reference architectures to promote consistency and reusable building blocks.
• Influence solution development by driving architectural improvements and translating strategy into practical technology.
• Build partnerships with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead pilot programs to validate future capabilities.
• Assess infrastructure capacity and provide strategic recommendations to support growth and performance.
