Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Solution Architect to design and guide scalable, secure technology solutions aligned with client missions. You will provide technical leadership across the solution lifecycle, emphasize AWS cloud-native architectures, and ensure integration across systems using Java, React, HTML, and Python.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or technical leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Experience designing solution architectures for distributed systems, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps.
• Experience designing AWS cloud architectures and modern cloud-native platforms.
• Experience architecting solutions utilizing Java, React, HTML, and Python.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications, APIs, services, and data across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments with modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Solution Architect for complex technology programs, guiding design and implementation of scalable, secure solutions.
• Define and communicate the overall solution architecture, aligned with mission needs and enterprise standards.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into solution designs with cross-functional teams.
• Lead architecture discussions and reviews to ensure consistency, scalability, and security.
• Promote architecture standards and design patterns across development teams.
• Guide engineering teams in implementing architecture patterns and cloud-native solutions.
