Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an IT field OR Bachelor's degree in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
• 8 years of experience with Java / React
• 8 years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
• 8 years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
• 5 years of experience with one or more clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 5 years of experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI
• Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including unit testing

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy modular micro-services and cloud-based systems
• Understand stakeholders' needs and convey to developers
• Write and debug code for innovative software solutions
• Troubleshoot software quality, security, and reliability issues
• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities
• Automate unit and functional tests
• Test and examine code written by others and analyze results
• Evaluate and develop complex software solutions using APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions
• Ensure software is secure against cyber threats
• Identify technical problems and develop fixes
• Support production releases (deployment, troubleshooting, testing)
• Document code, features, and training guides
• Document as-is state and perform gap analyses
• Leverage virtualization and containerization to modernize software systems
• Mentor junior team members
• Engineer and implement solutions for continuous improvement
