Job summary

Eurofins seeks a Senior Solid State NMR Scientist to provide laboratory support in ssNMR data collection and interpretation for pharmaceutical materials. You will apply ssNMR to characterize a broad range of APIs, drug products, and intermediates, plan experiments with minimal supervision, and collaborate with Materials Science to define strategies.

You will contribute to new scientific approaches, maintain rigorous ELN entries, and continuously advance analytical capabilities in a dynamic lab

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemistry or related field with ssNMR expertise, or BA/MS with 2+ years ssNMR experience.
• Experience with ssNMR sample prep, data acquisition, and interpretation of 1D/2D spectra.
• Experience with solid-state characterization techniques (XRD, PLM, DSC, TGA, spectroscopy) is an advantage.
• Vibrational spectroscopy knowledge (FTIR, NIR, FT-Raman) is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Excellent organizational, independent work, and strong communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Apply ssNMR to characterize a broad range of pharmaceutical materials (crystalline and non-crystalline APIs, excipients, intermediates, and products).
• Apply quantitative ssNMR methods to measure components of APIs and drug products.
• Plan and perform experiments with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Materials Science to define and implement characterization strategies.
• Solve scientific problems using contemporary Materials Science techniques.
• Contribute to development of new scientific approaches within Materials Science.
• Ensure contemporaneous and accurate entries in the electronic laboratory notebook per accepted good practice.
