Job summary

CPL in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and deliver commercial, institutional, and utility-scale solar PV and electrical systems from feasibility through construction documentation.

You will develop Revit and AutoCAD models, perform layouts and calculations, and coordinate with clients, utilities, and contractors to navigate permitting and interconnection requirements, ensuring high-quality renewable energy projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in electrical engineering, building systems design, or solar PV design.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and electrical design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate commercial, institutional, and utility-scale solar PV and electrical systems from feasibility through construction documentation.
• Develop and manage Revit and AutoCAD models, electrical layouts, system calculations, and interdisciplinary coordination to support project delivery.
• Partner with clients, utilities, contractors, and internal teams to navigate permitting, interconnection requirements, and construction support.
