Job summary

Solar Alternatives, Inc. in New Orleans is expanding its field service team and seeks a Solar Installer with construction experience to join our growth‑oriented company. You’ll perform on‑site solar installations and service tasks, following SOPs and safety protocols to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

We provide advanced training, certifications and opportunities for career growth in the rapidly expanding clean energy sector. OSHA 10 is required or obtained within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in rooftop photovoltaic installations or related construction fields.
• OSHA 10 certification required within three months of employment.
• Ability to travel and work 40–50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain warranty/service schedule with a focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve solar electric warranty and service issues (modules, inverters, monitoring, BOS).
• Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians.
• Mentor and up-train local field service team on job site best practices.
• Meet or exceed KPI targets for turnaround time and dispatches.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and maintain fleet stock and cleanliness.
• Assist in warehouse organization and general labor on site.
• Support onboarding and training of new field service staff.
• Participate in On-Call rotation and punch-list follow-ups.
