Job summary

OE Solar is seeking a Lead Estimator to manage the complete estimating process for solar, EV charging, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. You will review bid opportunities, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit pricing, and prepare proposals to support project success.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of electrical systems, PV, storage solutions, EV charging infrastructure, and related construction methods.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Advanced Excel and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for government and commercial projects.
• Review bid documents and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Develop labor and material estimates and prepare proposals.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Present estimates to leadership for approval.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records.
