Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a seasoned PV engineer to design, bid, project manage, and commission solar PV systems for diverse clients. You will work with a team of engineers to deliver high-performance energy solutions and navigate interconnection and permit processes.

The ideal candidate has 5-10+ years in PV installations (commercial scale), knowledge of NEC 690, and experience with modeling tools like SAM/Helioscope.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in PV installations (small to large commercial).
• NABCEP PV Installation, Designer, Commissioning or Inspector preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of AC & DC electrical wiring, monitoring systems and utility interconnection processes.
• Thorough knowledge of NEC electrical code, esp. section 690.
• Experience with PV production modeling (SAM, Helioscope).
• Ability to read structural drawings and PV-related verbiage.

Responsibilities

• Design, bid, manage projects and commission solar PV systems for CMTA clients.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure budget, schedule and performance targets are met.
• Evaluate interconnection documents and utility tariffs for project viability.
• Coordinate with customers and stakeholders from concept through commissioning.
