Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is hiring a Software Testing Principal (Edifecs) for a fully remote role based in the United States. The position requires a strong track record in complex software projects, extensive manual and automated testing, and expertise with Edifecs EDI transactions (X12).

A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor's degree are required, along with eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience on complex software projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Proficient in both manual and automated testing and SDLC understanding.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Experience with cloud testing platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure IT systems meet requirements.
• Develop test schedules and approaches; create test scripts and data for scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders and lead tests to ensure defect-free operation.
• Document, communicate, and report test results; support issue resolution.
• Provide technical solutions and independent approaches to testing challenges.
• Create daily test metrics and reports; contribute to process improvements.
• Perform related IT system engineering tasks as needed.
