Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Testing Principal (Edifecs) for a 100% remote role. The candidate will lead test planning, automation, and verification across IT systems, focusing on Edifecs EDI workflows and related COTS tools. A strong background in SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices is required, with 10+ years of experience and U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience on complex software projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Hands-on manual and automated testing across SDLC.
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong testing, planning, and scripting capabilities.
• Familiarity with Edifecs X12 EDI workflows is highly valued.
• Security testing practices and risk-based testing approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to meet requirements.
• Create test schedules, approaches, and data for scenarios.
• Write test scripts and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
• Lead tests of software/IT systems to ensure defect-free operation.
• Document, communicate, and socialize test results and metrics.
• Support issue resolution and analyze test data to drive improvements.
