Job summary

ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Software Test Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force's C-SAR mission.

You will help ensure the reliability, performance, and readiness of mission-critical software systems across Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms. This role requires a current Active Secret security clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI), US citizenship, and hands-on testing experience with MILSATCOM or command-and-control systems.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US citizen.
• Current Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2–4 years of related experience.
• Experience with MILSATCOM operations or satellite command and control systems preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and execute formal software acceptance tests.
• Validate maintenance releases and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with software developers during unit, integration, and system testing.
• Analyze results, identify defects, and support resolutions.
• Provide daily status during formal test events.
• Maintain and execute regression test suites for stability.
• Support user acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
• Verify performance across Windows, Linux, and Solaris.
• Apply CM best practices to ensure consistency across systems.
