Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the U.S. Space Force C-SAR mission.

The role focuses on testing and validation of mission-critical software across Windows, Solaris, and Linux environments, with an emphasis on defect analysis and regression testing. You will collaborate with developers on unit, integration, and system tests, perform formal acceptance testing, and participate in UAT and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and performance for

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required, TS/SCI eligibility preferred or ability to obtain.
• US Citizenship required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II security certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2–4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience with MILSATCOM operations or satellite command and control systems preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey technical concepts to engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and execute formal software acceptance tests.
• Validate maintenance releases and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with software developers during unit, integration, and system testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support resolution efforts.
• Provide daily status reporting during formal test events.
• Maintain and execute regression test suites for system stability.
• Support user acceptance testing and assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Verify software performance across Windows, Linux, and Solaris environments.
• Apply software configuration management best practices for consistency across multiple systems.
