Job summary

Talanto in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support QA, release testing, and data validation for complex healthcare technology solutions. You will analyze requirements, design test strategies, create test plans and test cases, and manage defects through resolution.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in QA/Testing across SDLC, Agile, healthcare EDI/HIPAA, and experience with JIRA and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer.
• Experience across SDLC implementations.
• Experience creating test plans, estimates, schedules, and data.
• Strong SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience with database testing, batch job testing, data validation, and reporting validation.
• Experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Hands-on test automation experience.
• Healthcare systems testing experience (EDI, HIPAA, CMS, or T-MSIS).
• Experience with ELT, Informatica, data warehouses, Cognos, Tableau or similar.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to develop testing solutions in an Agile environment.
• Create and maintain release test models, plans, data, scripts, estimates, and schedules.
• Define release test plans, UAT criteria, and entry/exit criteria for production readiness.
• Design, develop, execute, and debug test cases and strategies.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and database testing.
• Write and execute complex SQL to validate data and reports.
• Support healthcare testing involving EDI, HIPAA, CMS, and T-MSIS.
• Use JIRA/Azure DevOps to manage tests and defects.
• Coordinate testing release activities and participate in reviews and readiness meetings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve unclear requirements.
