Job summary

KBR's MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver software for space and defense applications. You will work on multi-disciplinary teams, employing modern tools and practices to build scalable solutions for national security programs.

Qualifications

• Security clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• 5+ years of software development including architecture, design, coding and testing
• Strong experience in Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React)
• Experience with microservices and web app development
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Experience CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery processes

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, analyze, and develop software prototypes and applications in a multi-disciplinary team
• Engage with stakeholders to define problems, vision, and priorities
• Participate in full software development lifecycle from user stories to deployment
• Develop new features to meet end-user requirements
• Work with complex algorithms to deliver optimized solutions
• Ensure maintainability and adherence to standards
• Mentor team members and promote best practices
