Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Software Systems Engineer Principal to serve as a Product Owner on the UNIFY Program. You will blend software systems engineering with product ownership, shaping roadmaps, prioritizing features, and driving delivery across cloud-native platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure software solutions, participate in CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, and translate user and program needs into detailed requirements and well-tested software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related experience; Master's with 7+ years is a plus.
U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a Secret clearance.
Strong software systems engineering skills across the full lifecycle.
Hands-on software testing, including use cases, test procedures, and test data.
Experience delivering cloud-native, enterprise-grade platforms.
Full-stack development experience and ability to engage with engineering teams.
Extensive PO experience: backlog, user stories, prioritization.
Proven Agile Scrum and DevSecOps practices, plus CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Define and prioritize application features aligned with user needs and company objectives.
Craft detailed product requirements, specifications, and user stories for dev teams.
Lead test planning and execution; develop use cases and test data for quality.
Shape the UNIFY product roadmap and drive strategic execution.
Coordinate with IT, Operations, HR, Finance to meet department needs.
Communicate strategy, progress, and results to stakeholders and leadership.
Represent the org as a technical contact on contracts and projects.
