Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking senior engineers for a Colorado Springs site focused on the development and sustainment of satellite ground software. The role requires leading a small team, coordinating with government and operators, and ensuring timely fixes while aligning with EVMS targets.
A Top-Secret/SCI clearance is required for the position. On-site work is required daily with potential time at a local customer site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Systems Engineering) with 12+ years of experience, or Master's with 10+ years.
- U.S. Citizenship and Top-Secret clearance required.
- Experience leading teams of 6+ engineers.
- Experience with satellite operations.
- Ability to work on-site daily and translate technical requirements to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with customer interaction & expectations management.
Responsibilities
- Lead Software Sustainment Team to fix top priority defects.
- Chair the Government Defect Review Board.
- Own the bug-fix flow and prioritize defects.
- Use data to drive decisions on team performance.
- Serve as technical bridge between development teams and customers.
- Act as Cost Account Manager for the Sustainment team.
