Job summary

Prenosis is seeking a hands-on Senior Software/SRE Engineer to design and implement production-grade Go and Python services, and lead architecture decisions in a HIPAA-regulated environment. You will work across backend, frontend, and Kubernetes infrastructure to ensure reliability and security.

You will own full-stack delivery with a focus on scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), monitoring, and CI/CD automation, contributing extensively to code reviews, ADRs, and deployment tooling.

Responsibilities

• Write production-quality Go and Python backend services: APIs, data pipelines, business logic, and integrations.
• Build and maintain TypeScript/React frontend features with focus on UI quality and performance.
• Conduct deep, substantive code reviews to raise codebase quality.
• Drive architectural decisions and prototypes to validate direction.
• Champion HIPAA compliance and security best practices in code, data handling, auth, encryption, and audits.
• Ensure availability and reliability; pre-emptively address failure points affecting user workflows.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Kibana, Elastic Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab) for safe and efficient deployments.
• Drive SDLC improvements: branches, tests, progressive delivery, rollbacks.
• Embed HIPAA controls into pipelines for automated verification.
