Job summary

Synapticure is seeking a Senior DevOps & Security Engineer to build, operate, secure, and improve our cloud infrastructure and software delivery environments. You will work with Engineering, Data, and other teams to maintain secure, reliable, and well‑monitored systems, focusing on cloud security, compliance, and production reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, DevOps, cloud infra, SRE, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, vulnerability management, observability, and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with security controls in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write scripts (Python, Bash) and work with APIs, integrations, and security automation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects from definition to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Translate security and compliance requirements into practical technical controls.
• Build and secure AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
• Develop and maintain Terraform and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, security telemetry, and incident response support.
• Automate workflows and integrations across systems.
• Maintain architecture diagrams and security standards.
• Research new tools and security practices for our environment.
• Participate in on-call or escalation coverage as needed.
