Job summary

Kratos Defense is seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect to lead design, development, and implementation of complex distributed systems across cloud and on-prem environments. You will guide technical strategy, mature software architecture, and support full lifecycle development within an agile, customer-focused framework.

You will work with engineering, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable solutions meeting strict U.S. Government requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields with focus on software solution design.
• 10+ years of relevant job experience preferred; combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience with software development tools (Git, Atlassian suite, Artifactory)
• Experience with AWS and other CSPs (Azure, GCP, Alibaba)
• Proficiency in microservices, event-driven architecture, and hybrid cloud designs
• Strong OS experience (Windows, Unix) and scripting
• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Splunk)
• Top Secret/SCI clearance for US Gov projects
• Familiarity with DoDAF/TOGAF and systems thinking

Responsibilities

• Articulate technical concepts to customers and teams clearly
• Lead software architecture maturity and system design
• Drive verification and troubleshooting of solutions
• Develop and mature CI/CD pipelines aligned with customer methodologies
• Guide agile lifecycle from backlog to demos and feedback
• Coordinate cloud and system design with Kratos and customer teams
• Lead engineers to execute architectural designs
• Collaborate with cyber security to gather evidence for ATO/IATT
