Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to a web-based full-stack Agile development team in Lanham, MD. You will develop, test, and document software for enhancements and new products while participating in code reviews and documentation efforts.

Required skills include Java and C/C++, multithreading, RESTful services, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms. Experience with SAFe Agile and Atlassian tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant programming experience.
• Proficiency in Java; strong background in C/C++ and multi-threaded systems.
• Experience with RESTful services and WebSocket technologies.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with SAFe Agile and Atlassian toolchain (Jira/Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Develops unit-level tests that ensure work product is of high quality.
• Authors software documentation for both internal and customer use.
• Reviews peer contributions as part of code reviews.
