Job description

NVIDIA Product Security Team is seeking a passionate and innovative Security Engineer to join our Software Engineering teams. You will engage directly with Platform Development teams to operationalize common security solutions across diverse environments. We develop security platforms and integrate third-party solutions to catalog NVIDIA programs, detect vulnerabilities, drive remediation, securely deploy in cloud environments, and innovate to meet the scale and demand of NVIDIA’s product teams. Our goal is to provide key security solutions for our organization.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with Platform Development teams to establish automated security scanning, analysis, and signing pipelines. Serve as an intermediary and guide on security requirements and pre-vetted solutions, tailored to the build system, repository, and pipelines used by the product.
• Advocate for incorporating team-specific requirements into our Security Engineering platforms and services. Develop the security playbook to empower teams for secure development, engaging with groundbreaking technology daily.
• Work closely with software developers to understand their needs and design security solutions that enable effective operations. This role offers broad company impact, opportunities to build cross-company connections, and insights for leadership.

What we need to see:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, SecDevOps, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Security Engineering, DevOps, or SecDevOps roles.
• 5+ years of experience in software design or development operations, including building or standing up end-to-end applications, infrastructure, and automation frameworks at scale.
• Proficiency with object-oriented languages such as Python and Golang in distributed environments.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Background in designing reports from scalable databases or datastores (e.g., MySQL, NoSQL databases).
• Experience deploying to cloud technologies and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of scalable, available, low-latency systems like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Understanding of professional software engineering practices, including documentation, task management, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, operations, and metrics.
• Experience working within an Agile SDLC.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Knowledge of Dependency Managers.
• Experience integrating solutions into build pipelines.
• Understanding of vulnerability reporting through CVE.

The base salary range is $136,000 - $264,500, determined by location, experience, and similar roles. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
