Job description

NVIDIA Product Security Team is seeking a passionate and innovative Security Engineer to collaborate with Software Engineering teams and Platform Development teams. The role involves operationalizing common security solutions across diverse environments, building security platforms, integrating third-party solutions, and innovating to meet NVIDIA’s scale and demands. Our goal is to provide key security solutions for our organization.

What you will be doing:

1. Collaborate with Platform Development teams to establish automated security scanning, analysis, and signing pipelines. Serve as an intermediary to guide teams on security requirements and pre-vetted solutions based on their build systems, repositories, and pipelines.
2. Advocate for incorporating teams' unique requirements into our Security Engineering platforms, and develop security playbooks to empower teams for secure development, engaging with groundbreaking technology daily.
3. Work directly with software developers to understand their needs and design security systems that enable effective operations. This role offers broad company impact, opportunities for networking, and insights for leadership.

What we need to see:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, SecDevOps, or equivalent experience.
2. 5+ years in Security Engineering, developer operations, or SecDevOps roles.
3. 5+ years of experience in software design or development operations, focusing on building and automating end-to-end applications and infrastructure at scale.
4. Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Python and Golang.
5. Experience working with RESTful APIs.
6. Background in designing reports from scalable databases or datastores (e.g., MySQL, NoSQL).
7. Experience deploying to cloud technologies and infrastructure.
8. Knowledge of scalable, available, low-latency systems like Kubernetes and Docker.
9. Understanding of professional software engineering practices, including documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and metrics.
10. Experience working within an Agile SDLC environment.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

1. Knowledge of Dependency Managers.
2. Experience integrating solutions into build pipelines.
3. Understanding of vulnerability reporting through CVE.

The base salary range is $136,000 - $264,500, determined by location, experience, and market rates. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
