Job summary

Swagelok in Solon, OH seeks a Software Quality Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance of software products. You will work with developers to define tests, automate where possible, and coordinate acceptance testing with cross‑functional teams.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field and 5+ years in software testing or QA for software/firmware. Strong scripting and tooling proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software testing or software quality assurance experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, C#, Java, JavaScript or C/C++).
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience in defect tracking and test management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define verification and validation approaches for software and firmware.
• Develop and execute test programs, document defects, and drive remediation.
• Lead test automation efforts and integrate automated suites into the pipeline.
• Coordinate customer acceptance testing with marketing and service teams.
• Participate in sprint planning and provide testability input for user stories.
