Job summary

Definity is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer for a relocation opportunity to the United States (Fremont, CA). The role combines manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms, and requires strong English communication with international teams.

You will design, develop, and execute advanced test suites, implement cross-platform test strategies, and lead test efforts. Proficiency in Python/Go/Typescript, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and API testing is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a SDET/QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) or similar.
• Experience with Python, Go, and TypeScript.
• Experience with web, mobile and API validation.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Zephyr or similar.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for test validation.
• Knowledge of log analysis using Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Advanced English – able to communicate effectively in meetings and with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Write backend integration tests and tests for RESTful APIs.
• Develop frameworks and automated tests using Selenium and Python.

• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to translate requirements into test cases.
• Define, implement, and maintain test plans and test suites.
• Provide technical leadership to initiate and drive large-scale programs.

What you bring
