Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support multiple DoD programs. The role focuses on ensuring software quality across requirements, design, coding, and test activities, while conforming to rigorous safety standards.

The candidate will develop QA plans, coordinate with customer teams, and oversee supplier QA activities. A BS in a related field with extensive experience or an MS with fewer years is expected, plus US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• 8+ years of relevant technical experience with a BS degree or 6+ years with MS.
• Software engineering experience in real-time safety or mission critical software systems using C, C++, or Ada.
• Proven experience with NPR 7150.2C, IEEE 12207, RTCA DO-178C, or ISO 26262.
• Software quality assurance on DoD programs is preferred; other safety/aviation industries considered.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with good communication abilities.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop software quality assurance plans and standards.
• Collaborate with customer software engineering and software quality assurance teams.
• Provide assurance of requirements, design, coding, and testing processes; document quality artifacts.
• Process assurance audits and oversee supplier software quality assurance.
