Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to advance software quality across DoD programs. You will develop QA plans, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure compliance with NPR 7150.2C, DO-178C, and related standards.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving in a fast-paced defense environment. Candidates must be a US citizen, able to obtain a Secret clearance, and relocate or reside in the Huntsville area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• 8+ years of relevant technical experience with a BS or 6+ with an MS.
• Experience in real-time safety or mission critical software using C, C++, or Ada.
• Familiarity with NPR 7150.2C, IEEE 12207, RTCA DO-178C, or ISO 26262.

Responsibilities

• Develop software quality assurance plans and standards.
• Coordinate with customer software engineering and software quality assurance teams.
• Assure software requirements, design, coding and testing processes, and documentation QA.
• Oversee supplier software quality assurance and audits.
