Job summary

FotoFinder Systems GmbH is seeking a Software Project Lead to guide next-generation digital MedTech solutions across desktop, cloud, mobile and edge platforms. You will lead cross-functional agile teams, align stakeholders, and ensure on-time, compliant delivery of medical device software and digital health products.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, Architecture, Service, Commercial and Quality teams to shape the end-to-end SaaS platform and connected product

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading software projects, preferably in MedTech or regulated industries.
• Experience managing agile software development teams using Scrum/Kanban/SAFe.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, cloud architectures, APIs and modern practices.
• Experience with Windows software, SaaS, mobile and edge solutions.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, MDR/FDA.

You will lead cross-functional agile teams, coordinate technical and business stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of software for medical devices and digital health solutions. You will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, System Architecture, Service, Commercial and Quality teams to deliver high-quality products that create value for our customers.

Your responsibilities

Software Project Leadership

• Lead cross-functional software development projects throughout the complete product lifecycle.
• Plan, execute and monitor project scope, timelines, budget, quality and risks.
• Coordinate agile Scrum/Kanban teams and ensure predictable delivery.
• Drive transparent project reporting and decision making.

Digital Platform & Product Delivery

• Lead projects for edge, cloud, mobile and hybrid software and cloud platform solutions.
• Support development of FotoFinder's end-to-end SaaS platform and connected product ecosystem.
• Coordinate software releases, verification activities and deployment planning.
• Contribute to scalable software architecture together with architects and technical leads.

Technical & Architectural Collaboration

• Work closely with Software Architects on technical decisions and solution concepts.
• Coordinate integration of APIs, cloud services, AI capabilities and medical device software.
• Identify technical dependencies, risks and mitigation strategies early.

Business & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Product Management to translate business priorities into executable roadmaps.
• Align with Service, Commercial, Regulatory, Quality and Operations organizations.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders and software development partners.
• Foster collaboration, transparency and agile ways of working.
• Support continuous improvement of software development processes and engineering practices.
• Coach teams in project execution, planning and delivery excellence.

Your Profile

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading software development projects, preferably in MedTech or regulated industries.
• Experience managing agile software development teams using Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, cloud architectures, APIs and modern development practices.
• Experience with Windows software, SaaS platforms, mobile applications and/or edge solutions.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
• Understanding of software lifecycle processes for medical devices (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 13485, MDR/FDA).
• Strong project planning, risk management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills in cross-functional environments.
• Ability to balance business priorities with technical complexity and product quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering connected medical device or digital health solutions.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled software or computer vision applications.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.
• Experience working with international distributed development teams.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master or SAFe certifications.

Within your first 6–12 months, you will:

• Successfully lead strategic software projects across FotoFinder's product portfolio.
• Establish predictable agile delivery together with engineering teams.
• Improve cross-functional collaboration between Product, Engineering, Service and Commercial organizations.
• Support key releases for desktop, cloud, mobile and edge products.
