Abbott is seeking a Senior Software Integration Test Engineer for our Diagnostics business in Transfusion. The role is based in Lake County, IL (or Irving, TX) and focuses on software integration testing for an automated IVD system used for blood and plasma screening.

You will collaborate with development teams to create integration test plans, execute tests, and support the Agile SDLC. The position includes mentoring, occasional travel, and the opportunity to contribute to a globally recognized

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience.
• Experience leading complex system and risk analyses.
• Ability to use data to influence decisions and stakeholders.
• Strong technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with systems and/or assay development principles.
• Experience understanding and complying with applicable regulations.
• Ability to apply systems thinking to accelerate performance.
• Strong Customer Focus and orientation to user needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop integration test plans and test scenarios with the team.
• Perform software integration testing across the SDLC for the instrument in lab.
• Conduct exploratory and end-to-end testing on the target system.
• Investigate, report, and verify software issues and fixes.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer.
• Travel minimal up to 5%.
