Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Principal Software Integration Engineer to join the Technical Engineering and Design Department in support of the United States Air Force. The Integration engineer will perform system monitoring and remediation of issues to ensure uptime requirements are met for the critical systems.

This position is on-site at Camp Smith in Hawaii. The candidate will provide technical support to improve MDC2 capabilities through development and continuous improvement of JFN and JMIE systems,

Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools and configuration management.
• Experience with system monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).
• Experience with virtualization VMware, vSphere, and Microsoft Hyper-V, Linux KVM.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with Kubernetes distros (RKE2, EKS, K8s).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Knowledge of application integration testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with providers.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the maximum availability, stability and health of program resources for operations and testing.
• Maintain JFN MLS operational architecture including nodes, hub, network and CI/CD.
• Develop automated reporting mechanisms for system health and status.
• Provide software sustainment with configuration management controls and processes.
• Improve engineering processes and tools to provide system status through monitoring tools.
• Contribute to automation of validation of key functional capabilities.
• Support automation of CM across environments.
• Apply systems engineering principles to ensure program success.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assure system reliability.
• Prepare detailed reports and share insights with leadership.
