Job summary

The Cigna Group in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Manager to lead a diverse engineering team across Salesforce, CI/CD, and full-stack testing.

You will drive strategic delivery from planning through execution, aligning with product owners and agile teams to produce secure, cloud-based solutions. Responsibilities include budget oversight, offshore/onshore coordination, and ensuring production health with HIPAA-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field with 4 years of experience (3- or 4-year degree accepted).
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban agile methodologies.
• Experience reviewing requirements and designing technology solutions and architecture.
• Experience developing APIs, data models, diagrams and using SQL, cloud/VM infra, IDEs, version control and OAuth.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workloads and manage expectations, keeping leadership informed.
• Lead a team of engineers focusing on Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, and automation testing.
• Collaborate with product owners to deliver robust cloud-based solutions and strong UX.
• Work across agile teams to design, develop, test and implement solutions.
• Own Salesforce operations including change/release management, and incident resolution.
• Estimate resources and costs to support budgets and business cases.
• Lead on/offshore teams to drive innovation, quality and customer excellence.
• Measure health of production systems and ensure HIPAA controls are in place.
